Bombers and fighter-bombers


Il-28U Le retrait occasionnel d'unités basées en RDA - souvent pour faire place à du matériel plus moderne - faisait l'objet d'opérations médiatiques. En 1956, la 221.BAD fut rapatriée en URSS. Plus de 70 Il-28 ont quitté Oranienburg, le 26 août (ces trois photos). Le lendemain, ce sont les MiG-15 de la 114.GvChAD qui s'envolèrent de Finsterwalde à destination de l'URSS... et quelques jours plus tard, un nouveau contingent de MiG-17 (du 559.IBAP?) les remplaçait! © Flight.

Press and general public were invited for the occasional withdrawal of units based in GDR - often to make room for more modern material. In 1956, the 221.BAD went back to USSR. More than 70 Il-28 left Oranienburg on August 26 (these three pictures). The next day, the MiG-15 of the 114.GvShAD took off from Finsterwalde bound for the USSR. A few days later, brand new MiG-17 (of the 559.IBAP?) replaced them... © Flight.

Su-7 Les premiers avions camouflés de la 16.VA ont commencé à faire leur apparition en 1973. Ce Su-7BM du 116.GvAPIB a été photographié à Brand en 1980. Il emportait sous les pylones externes de voilure des conteneurs lance-roquettes ORO-57 pour huit roquettes S-5 de 57mm chacun. Les Su-7 qui n'avaient au départ que deux points d'emport de charge sous voilure en ont été equipés de quatre à partir de 1972. © L.Beda.

The first camouflaged aircraft of the 16.VA appeared in 1973. This Su-7BM of the 116.GvAPIB was photographed at Brand in 1980. It carried under the outside wing pylons ORO-57 rocket pods for eight S-5 rockets each. The Su-7 had originally only two wing pylons. Two more were added from 1972 on.
