Cette photo de la base de Werneuchen, réalisée à partir de plusieurs clichés de reconnaissance, était attachée au mur dans le bureau du commandant. Lorsque cette série de photos fut exposée, les hangarettes blindées étaient en cours de construcion. Quelques-unes sont visible au centre de l'image, au nord. Auparavant et durant cette période de transition, les avions étaient parqués dans des aires de dispersion entourées de merlons de protection. En bas à gauche, en arc de cercle, on distingue l'ancienne plateforme allemande avec ses hangars, ainsi que la ligne de vol construite sur le bord supérieur. Les bâtiments administratifs et les logements étaient situés derrière, au sud.

This picture of Werneuchen airbase, composed of several reconnaissance shots, was hanging in the office of the base commander. When those pictures were taken, new HAS were being built. A few one can be seen in the center, to the north. During that transition period and before it, the aircraft were parked in dispersals, protected by earth mounds. The original German apron and its hangars can be seen in the lower left corner, forming a circle arc. The flightline is just above the apron. Administrative and living quarters were situated behind, to the south.
