Les Soukhoï Su-17 d'attaque au sol étaient tous affectés à la 105è division de chasseurs-bombardiers du Corps nord. Au moment du retrait, ne subsistaient plus en Allemagne que les biplaces Su-17UM3 et les monoplaces Su-17M4 dont un exemplaire du 20.GvAPIB est illustré ci-dessus lors du départ de Gross Dölln, le 5 avril 1994.

Two fighter-bomber and one reconnaissance units were equiped with Sukhoï Su-17. The ground attack regiments were subordinated to the 105.ADIB in the northern part of the country. The only single seat version of the Su-17 still present in Germany before their withdrawal was the Su-17M4, of which an aircraft of the 20.GvAPIB is seen here, departing Gross Dölln on 5 April 1994.
