This extraordinary picture of the southern tip of the Magdeburg range (known in the West as the Letzlinger Heide or Colbitz range) was taken from a Pembroke flying in the center corridor. By chance, an Army level air defence display was held when the spy plane flew above the range. Note also the two Mi-8 of the 226.OSAP that flew senior officers to the range.
