Des MiG-21bis du 515.IAP basé à Tököl en Hongrie étaient présents à Damgarten pour une campagne de tir en 1984.
Le premier escadron possédait une capacité nucléaire et le n°11 illustré ici était muni du boîtier de contrôle dédié monté sur le montant supérieur du parebrise ainsi que d'un pylône BD3-66-21N ventral. On distingue sous le pylône alaire interne la pointe d'un missile R-3P.

MiG-21bis from the 515th IAP, based at Tököl in Hungary, were deployed to Damgarten for a live-fire exercise in 1984. The first squadron had a nuclear capability, and aircraft number 11, pictured here, was equipped with the dedicated control unit mounted on the windshield frame, as well as a BD3-66-21N ventral pylon. The tip of an R-3P missile attached to the inner wing pylon can be seen.
