Le 239.OGVP d'Oranienburg, unité de l'AA, prenait dans l’ordre de bataille de la 16.VA, la place du second régiment de transport tactique dont étaient généralement dotées la plupart des armées aériennes. L'un de ses Mi-6A est vu ici à Mahlwinkel le 16 mai 1994, lors du début de la migration du 337.OBVP vers la Sibérie, via Oranienburg.

Air Armies were usually supported by two transport regiments. The 16.VA had only one transport unit equipped with fixed wing aircraft, the 226.OSAP. An Army Aviation unit, the 239.OGVP from Oranienburg reporting directly to the GSFG/WGF HQ, took the place of the second transport unit. One of its Mi-6A is seen here at Mahlwinkel on 16 May 1994, when the 337.OBVP started its migration to Siberia via Oranienburg.
