Les zones de stationnement typiques des bases d'hélicoptères soviétiques ont fraîchement été aménagées avec des plaques PSP. On distingue en haut à droite les deux Mi-6VKP du 296.OVE BU, une unité qui était basée à Mahlwinkel depuis 1969.
