The SRS-9 Virazh general ELINT suite made it possible to reconnoiter operating radars in a corridor up to 900 kilometers wide and determine their type and location with an accuracy of 30-50 kilometers. However there was a "dead" area of 70 km right beneath the aircraft where no emissions could be received. Data were recorded on magnetic tape and processed on the ground after the sortie.
