Les biplaces n'étaient apparemment pas camouflés à Altenburg comme semble le démontrer ce MiG-21UM du second escadron du 296.APIB photographié en 1989, peu de temps avant l'abandon des MiG-21 au profit des MiG-27. Le "Mongol-B" n°92 était armé d'un conteneur lance-roquettes UB-16-57U.

The two-seaters were apparently not camouflaged in Altenburg, as this MiG-21UM from the second squadron of 296.APIB seems to confirm. It was photographed in 1989, shortly before the retirement of the MiG-21 in favor of the MiG-27. The "Mongol-B" No. 92 was armed with a UB-16-57U rocket pod.
