Faute de photos de cette période, nous devons nous contenter de photos de la période de chasse du régiment. Outre des MiG-21SMT ou MT, on distingue sur cette photo de la ligne de vol d'Altenburg un MiG-21UM et deux UTI MiG-15.

When the 296.IAP was converted into a fighter-bomber unit in 1982, all of its single-seat aircraft were a priori camouflaged. As we don't have pictures from this period, we have to content ourselves with earlier photos when the regiment was still a figher aviation unit.
