Cet Il-2 photographié à Grossenhain appartenait au 58.GvChAP qui y fut basé de décembre 1945 à février 1949. La 2.GvChAD à laquelle le régiment était subordonné était également située à Grossenhain. Cet appareil portait une lettre "V" sur la dérive plutôt qu'un numéro régimentaire, indiquant sans doute une machine appartenant à l'état-major de l'unité.

This Il-2 photographed at Grossenhain belonged to the 58.GvShAP, based there from December 1945 to February 1949. The 2.GvShAD to which the regiment was subordinate, also had its HQ in Grossenhain. This Il-2 had the letter "V" painted on the vertical fin instead of a regimental number, probably because it was assigned to the unit headquarters.
