Le premier mai 1945, une formation de huit appareils du 567.ChAP a survolé Berlin dans le but de prendre une série de photographies dont une partie illustre cet article (photos à droite et en-dessous sur la page principale). Deux photographes, le capitaine Mark S. Redkine et le lieutenant Anatoly A. Arkhipov, avaient pris place à bord de deux Il-2 dont la verrière du mitrailleur avait été démontée. Le lieutenant Arkhipov était à bord du n°25 piloté par le lieutenant V. Bondarenko qui dirigeait la formation, à partir duquel a été prise cette photo.

On May 1, 1945, a formation of eight aircraft of the 567.ShAP flew over Berlin with the aim of taking a series of photographs, some of which illustrate this article (photos to the right and below on the main page). Two photographers, Captain Mark S. Redkin and Senior Lieutenant Anatoly A. Arkhipov boarded two Il-2 from which the rear gunner's canopy had been dismantled. This picture was taken by Lieutenant Arkhipov who was aboard aircraft n°25 flown by Senior Lieutenant V. Bondarenko who was leading the formation.
