L'Union Soviétique a reçu approximativement 3000 Douglas A-20 Havoc dans le cadre de la loi prêt-bail durant la guerre, devenant ainsi de fait le plus gros utilisateur du A-20. Les appareils photographiés ici à Ladd Army Air Field en Alaska étaient des A-20G-1 armés de quatre canons M2 de 20mmm ainsi que de deux mitrailleuses de 12,7mm dans le nez. Ils devaient rejoindre l'URSS en vol par la voie ALSIB (Alaska-Sibérie) qui se terminait à Krasnoyarsk. Outre deux C-47, on notera à l'avant-plan à gauche les dérives d'un B-25.

The Soviet Union received approximately 3,000 Douglas A-20 Havoc under the Lend-Lease Act during the war, making it the largest user of the A-20. The aircraft photographed here at Ladd Army Air Field in Alaska were A-20G-1 armed with four M2 20mm cannons and two 12.7mm machine guns in the nose. They were to join the USSR in flight by the ALSIB (Alaska-Siberia) Route that ended at Krasnoyarsk. Besides two C-47, one will note the tail of a B-25 in the foreground at left.
