Le MiG-29 n°02 était le seul appareil du régiment à être décoré d'un nose art représentant un tigre avec en arrière-plan le darpeau des VVS. Cet appareil fut perdu en mars 2007 lors d'une collision en vol avec l'appareil n°06. Le bort 02 était l'ancien b-n 19 du 968.IAP de Lipetsk.
