When C-97G 52-2686 was photographed at Tempelhof in September 1961, it was supposed to be
back from TV monitoring operations against Cuba under the SPEED LIGHT ALPHA program. It
was modified in November into an ELINT aircraft for the SMALL FRY program and joined the
7405.SS at Wiesbaden.<br /><br />

the aircraft was photographed. The aircraft modifications and the Big Safari 
program in which this particular aircraft was involved were not necessarily
