This picture of MiG-25PD bort number 42 was one of the first series of photographs of this type of aircraft taken by Dick Genaille,
a USMLM tour officer and former Lockheed C-141 Starlifter pilot, in July 1982. Finow was a sensitive area at the time (the "Foxbat-E" had only been there for a few months)
and the USMLM reconnaissance tour team took up an observation point near an approach beacon in the early morning after shaking off Stasi trackers. The reconnaissance
tour team waited for the start of air operations, took the first pictures and left the scene, waving at the Stasi narks when they crossed their path again.
