Mi-6s were indeed retrofitted with a flat nose window that could be heated.
The alert pad at Stendal was to the right and a guided missile storage was to the left.

This unidentified Mi-6/A was photographed at Stendal possibly in 1989.
It is interesting to note that it had still its original rounded nose window in front of the navigator position. Mi-6s were indeed retrofitted with a flat nose window that could be heated. The alert pad at Stendal was to the right and a guided missile storage was to the left. |
